About Father Jay Fostner

A respected presence in the De Pere, Wisconsin, educational community, Father Jay Fostner functions as the vice president for mission and student affairs at St. Norbert College. Having earned the Educator of the Year Award for his work teaching psychology and theology, Father Jay Fostner now dispatches administrative obligations encompassing diverse aspects of campus life, including not only health and safety, but also student service and learning.

Present projects that Fr. Fostner is spearheading include a holistic Wellness Center as part of a sports complex renovation. He is also coordinating with donors toward the potential launch of a Center for Leadership and in seeking to expand the staff professional development endowment. Past projects that he has helped achieve significant endowments for include the Norman Miller Center for Peace, Justice and Public Understanding.

Among Fr. Fostner’s annual responsibilities is leading a summer trip of staff, faculty, and board members to Europe, where they visit the Norbertine Order abbeys, which have an unbroken 850-year history. Having authored several articles in his field, he was responsible for a chapter in a book on the best ways of coping with a student death.
